About This Position

CAREvity is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team as a 1099 independent contractor for our Atlanta location. This role is essential in helping us deliver high-quality, client-centered home care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive client assessments to determine care needs and appropriate levels of service.

  • Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.

  • Conduct routine reassessments, document changes in client conditions, and ensure timely updates to care plans.

  • Monitor and chart observations, including new symptoms, reactions to medication, and general health.

  • Provide training and ongoing supervision to caregivers, including written and verbal support and guidance.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed for both clients and staff, identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress and skilled nursing notes.

  • Respond to emergencies and participate in weekend and holiday on-call rotations as needed.

  • Educate clients and their families on care plans, medications, and quality-of-life improvements.

  • Report all suspected abuse or serious incidents per Georgia state regulations.

  • Support company compliance efforts, contribute to policy development, and protect CAREvity’s assets and resources.

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of Georgia (required).

  • Current BLS (First Aid and CPR) certifications (non-expired).

  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, preferably in home care or community health.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.

  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations.

  • Knowledge of infection control, OSHA regulations, and HIPAA compliance.

  • Physically able to assist clients with mobility and stand for extended periods.

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

  • Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication.
