About This Position
Patient Care Associate/Phlebotomy- OIC Lab
This position is responsible for providing phlebotomy, including but not limited to bleeding times and Arterial Blood Gases, for patients as directed according to established standards and practices. This position provides clinical support to professional staff for basic nursing care under the supervision of radiologists and R.N.s. Assists with routine cleaning of equipment and environment. Responsible for supply inventory, maintenance, and stocking. Assisting the Outpatient Imaging Technologists with daily operations. This position is responsible for proper function of all ancillary equipment. These personnel work within the confines of the Outpatient Imaging Center. Other duties as assigned. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. National Phlebotomy Certification required. BLS within 3 months of hire. Experience: Some medical background preferable, but not necessary.
