Counselor- Substance Use Treatment (32 or 40 hrs) at Everest Recovery Centers LLC – South Portland, Maine

Current Opening:

We are currently seeking a Full time Counselor CADC or LADC (32 or 40 hours) for our South Portland, ME location with potential availability at our Saco, ME location as well. (5:30am-2pm)

Position Summary:

The primary role of the counselor is to provide services to individuals with a primary diagnosis of an Opiate Use Disorder utilizing the 12 Core Functions of Substance Use Disorder Counseling. Complete all required documentation. Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clinical assessments to determine appropriate level of treatment.
• Provision of individual and group counseling services to patients
• Accurate and timely completion of patient documentation
• Maintain up to date and accurate patient records
• Provide case-management and referral services
• Adherence to patient confidentiality as required by Federal and State Law and Regulations.
• Maintain state required certifications
• Attend required trainings
• Outreach and networking

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• CADC or LADC required
• Good Communication skills
• Ability to be adaptable/flexible in a busy environment
• Good decision-making skills
• Everest Recovery conducts pre-employment background screening/investigation as well as drug screening
