OUTREACH MANAGER at American Psychiatric Centers – San Francisco, California

Job Summary:

The Outreach Manager is responsible for building strategic relationships and increasing visibility and referral sources for our outpatient mental health clinic. This role focuses on promote our services, increase patient referrals, and support the clinic’s mission of accessible and compassionate mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to promote clinic services within the community.
• Build and maintain partnerships with referral sources including hospitals, emergency departments, IOP/PHP, Primary care and specialty clinics, colleges, agencies, private practices, and community organizations.
• Coordinate and participate in community events, health fairs, and presentations to educate the public about mental health and available clinic services.
• Represent the clinic in professional networking events, coalitions, and collaborative initiatives.
• Track outreach efforts and referral data; prepare regular reports on engagement outcomes and referral trends.
• Work with social media marketing team to create outreach materials such as brochures newsletters, social media content, and email campaigns.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline referral processes.
• Stay informed about local mental health needs and community resources to guide outreach planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Marketing, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in outreach, community engagement, healthcare marketing, or related roles.
• Experience in mental health or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with social media a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
• Familiarity with HIPAA and mental health confidentiality regulations.
