ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Family-owned and operated since 1939, Koopman Lumber & Hardware boasts 13 locations across Massachusetts. These include three full-line stores in Whitinsville, Uxbridge, and North Grafton, offering lumber, hardware, paint, and lawn and garden supplies. Additional locations include a lumber, hardware, paint, and design center in Sharon, a full-service paint store in Milford, and lumber yards with kitchen design centers in Hudson, Andover, Fairhaven, Dennis, Pembroke, and Indian Orchard. We also have distribution centers in Uxbridge and Sutton. Koopman Lumber specializes in building materials and supplies, including lumber, hardware, moldings and millwork, tools, power equipment, windows and doors, engineered lumber, and kitchen products. POSITION: Building Materials Order Puller
DESCRIPTION:
Yard Associate / Order Puller
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Some Saturdays Required
Koopman Lumber is looking for a reliable, hands-on Yard Associate / Order Puller who knows their way around lumber and building materials and takes pride in getting orders right. This role is critical to keeping our yard running safely, efficiently, and customer-ready.
What You’ll Do
- Pull, stage, and load customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers and drivers in the yard with professionalism and urgency
- Operate forklifts and yard equipment (training provided)
- Receive and put away incoming lumber and building materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused yard
- Work closely with teammates to keep operations moving

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
What We’re Looking For
Working knowledge of lumber and building materials (required)
- Yard, warehouse, or building materials experience strongly preferred
- Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to become certified)
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stay active throughout the day
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team mindset
