The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.

Qualifications:

Required:

Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology ARDMS or CCI certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire Must be board eligible at time of hire BLS through the American Heart Association Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift Per Diem Scheduling will vary based on the needs of the department Weekend availability required

Essential Functions:

Performs echocardiograms with Doppler, color flow analysis, and strain to assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to determine each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment Assists the nurse and physician in the performance of transesophageal echocardiograms Administers Definity when necessary to obtain high-quality images Performs echocardiograms on both hospital patients and outpatients, which includes offsite locations in the area
