About This Position

EMERG MEDICAL TECH-PARAMEDIC

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • A Paramedic who, under the guidance of the ALS Liaison, the Medical Director and the Director of Emergency Services, functions as a Paramedic. This candidate will perform a variety of activities associated with SRMC's Ambulance Service.
  • EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum Required:
      • Graduate of an approved Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic program, with current certification to practice as an EMT - P in North Carolina.
      • BCLS certification; recertification required annually. ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications; recertifications required biannually.
      • EMS certification (EMT-P) by NCOEMS.
    • Preferred:
      • TNCC Certification, or other approved trauma course.
      • National Registered Paramedic.
