Tax Senior Associate
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Tax Senior Associate for their Atlanta office. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality tax compliance and consulting services. As a Senior Associate, you’ll lead complex engagements, mentor junior staff, and drive results that add significant value to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, including S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, multistate, and individual filings.
- Conduct initial reviews of Staff-prepared tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop income tax projections and prepare estimated calculations for clients.
- Perform in-depth tax research and draft clear, concise technical memoranda.
- Prepare work papers for book-to-tax differences and address technical tax issues.
- Refine expertise in a specialized area of taxation, enhancing technical knowledge and skills.
- Build strong, effective relationships with clients and team members.
- Identify potential tax issues early in the engagement planning process.
- Communicate professionally with the IRS and state tax authorities when necessary.
- Mentor and train Staff and Interns, providing valuable feedback and guidance.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding project progress and milestones.
- Actively participate in both attending and facilitating professional development and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of tax experience.
- Advanced understanding of federal and state tax regulations for individual and business taxation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong dedication to professional and client service excellence.
- Demonstrated organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
