About This Position

Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate I

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate I will be responsible for performing inbound and outbound functions including, but not limited to, forklift operation, shipping, receiving, bulk shipping, creating jobs, and warehouse maintenance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Load and unload parcels and pallets of pharmaceutical products
  • Pick pallets of product to support the flow of work into processing following the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method
  • Scan and box products after they have been processed to return to manufacturers
  • Ship necessary materials to customers who box their own products
  • Provide Field Service Representatives with any supplies they require to service Pharma Logistics’ customers
  • Ensure proper labeling and packing slips for all outgoing product
  • Scanning and tracking-Ensuring all trash and hazardous material totes are accurately scanned to maintain proper inventory and compliance with safety regulations
  • Sorting and Disposal-Organizing products and materials into the correct gaylord containers or barrels, ensuring that all items are disposed of according to environmental standards.
  • Replenishment-Monitoring the supply of totes used in production and replenishing them as needed to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Attend the Witness Burn on an as needed basis
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in warehouse environment with inventory sorting
  • Safely operate a hand pallet jack
  • Safely operate power equipment

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment with experience in shipping or receiving
  • Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Frequently lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Required to work overtime/weekends/holidays when deemed necessary to support the needs of the business
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required
  • Work efficiently in a team setting with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Manage stress effectively to keep up with a performance driven environment
  • Engage in safe behaviors and recognize unsafe acts
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screen

Compensation Range and Benefits:

Compensation for this position is based on forklift certification status:

  • Non-Certified Forklift Drivers: $18.00–$19.00 per hour

  • Certified Forklift Drivers: $19.50–$20.00 per hour

Placement within the range will depend on experience and qualifications. Pharma Logistics offers Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield). Group life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance. 14 days of paid time off, along with major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day). The Company may offer 3% Company contribution on the 1st of the month following 60 days of service
