2Life owns and operates over 1,300 units of affordable rental housing located within six campuses in
metropolitan Boston. With another 210 apartments under construction and more in planning, we
expect to add another 600-700 units within the next several years as we complete projects in active
planning and construction phases. We continue to pursue other development opportunities. We
anticipate continued growth in the size of our portfolio, the geography in which we operate, and the
diversity of our residents in terms of race, ethnicity, income levels, and need for supportive services.
GENERAL SUMMARY
As the Senior Financial Data Systems Analyst, you will be part of a team at 2Life Communities
responsible for managing Enterprise Financial tools including Netsuite and Yardi. The information
Technology team supports staff collaboration with Subject Matter Experts in each department. The
Analyst role will help support other Application team members with creating and managing
integrations and developing automations.
In your role, you will help build the 2Life Data Visualization portal, balancing business needs with
technical complexity, in order to meet our organization’s strategy. Your role will include working
alongside our business and technical teams in a highly collaborative, agile environment where every
individual’s input is valued.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
● Working closely with the organization’s executive management and operations leadership to
develop and produce high level financial and management reporting from 2Life’s accounting
and business information systems
● Capturing and evaluating business requirements in the context of our overall system
solutions, focusing on Accounting and Finance data
● Responsible for extracting and synthesizing data from the Financial Enterprise Systems to
build “self service” reports used in all areas of the organization
● Helping to develop visualizations reflecting key organizational KPIs
● Responsible for developing content for use in internal and external presentations, board
reports
● Helping to develop and train end users in the nuances of using and managing data
● Staying abreast of the current and future Data Visualization feature set relevant to our
organization
● Other duties as assigned
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
● Bachelor’s and preferably advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or
commensurate work experience in related fields
● Strong systems and process orientation, with ability to translate business needs into systems
solutions, and oversee project design and management to implement new business process
solutions
● 4+ Years experience working with Enterprise Business and Accounting systems
● Excellent organization and project management skills
● Experience with working in a collaborative group setting both in person and remote
● Great communications skills and the ability to capture team consensus within the
organization
● Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and with a team with a well
defined mission
● Being a self-starter, who proactively identifies and resolves issues
