Core4ce is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support design and execution of system workflows and technical solutions for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Data Governance program. The ideal candidate will translate architectural guidance and requirements into implementable system designs, ensuring correct system behavior, integration readiness, and alignment with security and operational constraints throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

    Support decomposition of SOO/SOW requirements into system-level designs and workflows Translate architectural guidance from the Chief Architect into actionable system configurations Define and document: System workflows and interactions Access and role-based usage patterns Data flows between systems and components Support configuration and setup of the interim centralized repository and related system components Assist with integration readiness, including coordination with: Integration / Software Engineers DevSecOps Engineers ISSO Engineer Support validation of system behavior during: Automation execution Metadata harvesting Federated exchange operations Participate in design reviews, technical working sessions, and milestone readiness reviews Support operational readiness, troubleshooting, and system documentation

Required Qualifications:

    7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting Federal IT programs Demonstrated experience translating requirements and architectural direction into implementable system designs Experience working with multi-component systems, including data platforms, repositories, integrations, and user-facing components Familiarity with secure system environments, access controls, and operational constraints in DoD programs Experience supporting Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall execution models Ability to work effectively across architecture, engineering, security, and data teams Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

    Familiarity with healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks (e.g., FHIR, HL7, OMOP, ICD-10) and experience operating in health IT data environments Active Secret clearance preferred Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs Defense Health Agency (DHA) or health IT experience strongly preferred Experience supporting data-centric or analytics-driven systems Familiarity with fixed-price, milestone-based Federal contracts Experience operating within ISO 9001 / ISO 20000 / ISO 27001 process environments Experience supporting federated or enterprise data ecosystems Familiarity with metadata management, data catalogs, or governance platforms Exposure to health data systems or enterprise reporting platforms
