Rotational Engineer at The Shaw Group, LLC – Tyler, Texas

Overview:
Shaw Engineering Development Program is designed for recent engineering graduates eager to explore diverse technical disciplines, develop cross-functional expertise, and accelerate their career growth. Over the course of the program, participants will rotate through multiple departments, gaining hands-on experience in design, analysis, project management, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in 3–4 rotational assignments across engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement engineering solutions.
• Conduct technical analyses, prepare reports, and present findings to project stakeholders.
• Support field operations, site inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Engage in professional development workshops, mentorship sessions, and leadership training.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve processes, products, and client outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn in diverse work environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and independently when required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motion.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
