SUMMARY: The position of CNC Mill Machinist will accurately set up and operate a 3-axis mill machining center to fabricate metallic components based on drawing
Please note this position is for the afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday from 4:00pm to 2:30am. Training will take place on day shift Mon - Fri 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up and operates a CNC Mills
- Interprets drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of specific machining operations
- Load and edit control media to optimize and/or correct machine performance
- Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control elements.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunction and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Using precision measurement tools to verify conformance of work piece to specifications within tight tolerances.
- Maintain accurate production records and logs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment
- The proper maintenance of the machine and housekeeping of their work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- CNC programing abilities are an asset
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- College Diploma or Certified Apprenticeship program in General Machining, Tool & Die or Mold Maker preferred or Mechanical Technician Diploma
- 3 - 5 years of recent experience operating a 3 Axis Mill
- Proven knowledge interpreting engineering drawings and use of hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
