Shift Availability

Openings are available on 1st and 2nd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Including the following, however, additional duties may apply as required)

  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Receive and follow work instructions, schedules, and priorities from supervisors, operators, and/or dispatch lists
  • Operate grinders, sanders, and related equipment to deburr, smooth, and finish parts to required specifications
  • Verify correct quantity and quality of parts processed, ensuring conformance to work instructions and quality standards
  • Inspect parts for sharp edges, surface defects, and workmanship issues
  • Perform minor repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance on equipment; notify supervision when additional maintenance is required
  • Participate in gauge calibration and inspection programs as required
  • Operate hand torches as needed for job duties
  • Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent work experience considered
  • Basic math skills required
  • Overhead crane experience preferred; training provided

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Job duties require frequent reaching, kneeling, and prolonged use of hand-held grinders and tools. The position may require moving or transferring materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand-up equipment. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
