Key Responsibilities:
- Manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement
- Oversee patient financial services, including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and payment plans
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and organizational standards
- Supervise and train administrative staff within the business office
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and audits to support operational decision-making
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize revenue cycle management
- Address patient and family financial inquiries with professionalism and sensitivity
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in accordance with legal and organizational policies
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Office Manager or similar role in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance policies
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state healthcare regulations and compliance standards
