Position Summary:

The Cash Management Relationship Manager serves as a trusted advisor to local business clients, responsible for educating customers and proactively driving the adoption of cash management solutions that support their day-to-day operations and long-term growth. This role focuses on building strong relationships with established business customers and targeted prospects by understanding their unique cash flow needs and delivering practical, right-sized solutions that create lasting value for both the client and the Bank.

Working closely with internal operations and support teams, the Cash Management Relationship Manager ensures a responsive, efficient service environment that reflects the Bank’s commitment to personalized service and accountability. In partnership with Relationship Managers and Branch Managers, the role supports deposit growth and service charge objectives while strengthening client loyalty through consistent follow-through and a high-touch service approach.

Key responsibilities include active prospecting and referral development; responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs); conducting consultative needs assessments; recommending effective cash management strategies; and negotiating pricing that balances client value with sustainable profitability. The role contributes directly to the Bank’s growth by generating fee income from cash management solutions and achieving individual, team, and Bank performance goals through disciplined sales execution, officer calling programs, and community-focused relationship development.

Essential Functions:

Proactively develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of approximately 200–225 business relationships through disciplined prospecting, consultative sales, and ongoing relationship management.Identify, pursue, and convert new-to-bank opportunities while expanding wallet share within existing bank relationships to increase cash management revenue and deposits.Develop and execute an individual sales plan aligned with departmental production goals; consistently achieve established cash management sales targets.Lead the full consultative sales cycle—from needs assessment and solution design through proposal development, implementation coordination, and post-implementation follow-up—to ensure successful onboarding and long-term client retention.Prepare and deliver customized proposals, pricing structures, and presentations to secure new business and deepen client engagement.Partner with relationship managers and branch managers to identify opportunities, coordinate joint calling efforts, and enhance overall relationship profitability.Collaborate closely with operations, cash management sales support, and Cash Management Officer to ensure accurate setup, strong product performance, and seamless client experience.Maintain strong working knowledge of cash management products, payments technology, fraud mitigation tools, and treasury trends to effectively advise clients and respond to evolving business needs.Provide informed feedback regarding product functionality, competitive positioning, and client demand to support continuous improvement.Educate clients on the operational and technical aspects of cash management services to promote confident usage, efficiency, and risk awareness.Take ownership of client needs and service issues, ensuring timely follow-through and resolution.Identify and refer opportunities to other lines of business to support full-relationship banking objectives.Support internal education efforts by increasing awareness of cash management capabilities and strengthening referral activity across the organization.Represent the bank professionally in community and business development activities to expand market presence and cultivate new relationships.

Required Education and Experience:

    4 to 6 years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience with a high school diploma.
Knowledge of ACH rules and regulations (NACHA).Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to banking and deposit transactions.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as smart phones, computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.
