Description

The Senior Physical Security Systems Subject Matter Expert will support the Office of Defense Nuclear Security / Security Planning and Technology Division under the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This person will provide our customer with technical and analytical support primarily related to the physical security systems (PSS). This part-time position is contingent upon client approval.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Security Planning and Technology Division for the DOE/NNSA special activities. Position will provide technical, analytical, and management support for the following:

  • Understand current NNSA PSS and how they will transition into NNSA’s Nex Gen systems.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and expertise to the PSS programs at NNSA sites.
  • Assess program requirements by evaluating anticipated completion dates, quantity and type of reports, and other deliverables.
  • Prepare assessment reports, white papers, and project plans according to program-specific standards, such as the Physical Protection Policy.
  • Assist in the implementation, management, and execution of PSS programs.
  • Support the analysis and development of standardized PSS programs.
  • Deliver written reports and recommendations in compliance with departmental orders.
  • Provide technical support to the PSS Functional Area Manager (FAM) in budget development and validation during recurring Program Execution Reviews.
  • Offer technical assistance in the development, issuance, and compliance with departmental policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the analysis and development of standardized and modernization PSS programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • 10+ years of related experience in a security environment
  • Current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good customer relation skills and the ability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field
  • 15+ years of related experience in a security environment, preferably SAP
  • Current DOE Q security clearance

LOCATION: This position is a remote position.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
