Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a passion for site civil land development. This role will support a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects under the guidance of a Project Manager (PM). You’ll play a key role in advancing project objectives through technical design, permitting, coordination, and communication with clients, consultants, and public agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary and final site development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Analyze project data, including surveys, legal descriptions, and utility information
  • Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and calculations (e.g., drainage, grading, utilities, stormwater management)
  • Support preparation and submittal of permit applications to local and state agencies
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders
  • Monitor work for compliance with applicable codes and industry standards
  • Assist in preparing construction documents, cost estimates, and engineering opinions
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment with clear and effective communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar Engineering degree) from an ABET accredited university.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
  • Desire and motivation to obtain PE preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with WaterCAD, StormCAD, SewerCAD, or ICPR4/Stormwise a plus
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and meet deadlines
