About This Position
This role is responsible for the overall operations of the manufacturing facility including environmental health & safety, production planning, manufacturing processes and output, maintenance, quality, and inventory control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Manages and directs the plant operations for EHS, production, maintenance, quality, logistics and inventory control.
- Leads, mentors, and develops the team to create a sustainable organization and an effective succession planning.
- Champions the communication and the AmeriTex culture at all levels of the manufacturing facility.
- Implements cost effective initiatives to control and reduce direct, indirect, and overhead costs in the facility.
- Partners with the Maintenance Manager to manage the spare parts inventory and other capital assets.
- Responsible for strategically managing the Environmental Health & Safety programs for the facility.
- Partners with the Human Resources team to complete recruiting, employment relations and company culture initiatives.
- Responsible for the direct lines in the P&L pertaining to the inventory value, consumables, labor cost and any other expenses directly impacting the COGS.
- Partners with the Sales and Project Management Teams to ensure the manufacturing teams meets the production deadlines.
- Collaborates with the Quality Control team to ensure our quality standards are met during the manufacturing processes, finished goods storage and shipping of our products.
- Partners with Operational Excellence team inleading CAPEX and CI projects in the facility.
- Any other tasks and projects assigned to continue to the operations oof the facility and the business.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
EXPERIENCE
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment and performing a management role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, customers, and the general public. Plant managers must be able to speak with employees, other department managers and senior management.
