| Physical Requirements | The physical requirements for this position include repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs. |
| Shift | Must be able to work three 12.5-hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) Will also be required to work some weekends and holidays. |
| Job Summary | Assists with the implementation and operation of programs within an adult psychiatric facility. Assists in providing age-appropriate and specific needs and treatment services and performs related tasks as required. Provides direct patient care by planning, organizing, and implementing psychiatric rehabilitation activities. Assists in the escort of patients to and from activities. Assists in screening and basic assessment of patients. Provides documentation and keeps records of patient behavior. Assists in supervising patients during treatment/support activities. May lead/co-lead activities groups in Recovery Mall. May drive hospital vehicles and supervise patients during outings. Implements hospital and departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail; basic computer usage skills, organizational skills; the ability to follow instructions, work independently, strong safety and cleanliness awareness skills; and the ability to lift, push, and/or pull 50lbs and over. |
