About This Position

Job Summary:

The Facility Staffing Coordinator performs under the direct supervision of the Administrative Nursing Director of Operations. Job responsibilities include producing and maintaining an accurate master staffing schedule in advance scheduler for Patient Care Services while making adjustments as needed according to census fluctuations, call-ins, and staff needed to meet worked hours to staff the units. Responsible for mastering the Advance Scheduler in Kronos to keep it accurate at all times. Responsible for the support and maintenance for Advance Scheduler portion of the timekeeping system. Responsible for producing reports on demand for administration and nursing directors and managers. Works with the Patient Care Managers to ensure that their units are staffed appropriately according to acuity and census. Efficient in Kronos Schedule and Kronos timecards. Works with the Kronos IS team to improve the functionality of Kronos to meet the needs of staffing and report writing. Performs other job duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates skills to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Communicates pertinent staffing information and changes with staffing/scheduling needs to reduce/eliminate problems to the appropriate Patient Care Manager.
  • Demonstrates ability to accurately manage the advance scheduler in Kronos working with the Patient Care Manager’s on their schedules.
  • Completes monthly staffing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of all shift are staffed adequately.
  • Efficient in running Kronos reports on demand for operational use.
  • Efficient in building a staffing matrix and work load planners.
  • Consistently follows FGH policy, procedures, and standards of care in preforming nursing duties Alerts directors when adequate staffing cannot be maintained due to limited personnel resources to ensure those issues can be resolved before patient care units experience inadequate staffing
  • Consistently follows patient care and FGH policy and procedures and embraces and practices We CARE philosophy in all aspects of patient, visitor, co-worker, employee interactions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to accurately complete payroll deadlines with use of Kronos scheduling and payroll system.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills as front line of Advance Scheduler in Patient Care Services

Qualifications:

Education/Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Documented experience in building/maintenance of UKG application required or a two year degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

Work Experience:

  • Experience in computer skills required.
  • Required to have shown exceptional performance as a support resource and demonstrated leadership qualities on multiple occasions.

Mental Demands:

  • Ability to be self-reliant and to assist Forrest Health staff with issues and systems functionality.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, follow directions precisely, and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines; have good written and verbal communications skills; ability to maintain rapport.
