| Job Summary | The Senior Associate Director is responsible for oversight of all research activities, training, and program areas focused on transportation planning, project management, project development including design and right of way and utilities, project delivery and preservation including construction engineering and maintenance, policy and economic analysis, and special projects and initiatives. They oversee and coordinate these program area administrative activities: budgeting, financial management and forecasting, human resource functions, training development and delivery, and sponsored project setup. Other duties are coordinating Center-wide initiatives such as equipment purchasing and managing a staff resources repository. The Senior Associate Director and Director collaborate to establish medium- to long-term research and business priorities and works with all of the Kentucky Transportation Center’s (KTC) program areas to develop and implement strategic roadmaps to expand their project portfolios. They build and sustain new cross-program and cross-organization partnerships to increase KTC’s research capabilities and strengthen the Center’s visibility.
