HYROX Group Instructor at Saratoga Regional YMCA – Saratoga Springs, New York

Part-time $25.00/hour

Flexible schedule required; Late Evening and Early Morning availability preferred

Position Summary:

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for a HYROX Group Instructor and we are excited to have you join our team! This position will be responsible for leading HYROX group classes: High intensity, interval style, functional fitness, targeting both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems to build muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance by utilizing a variety of equipment including: Rowers, Ski-Erg's, weighted sleds, Kettlebells, Medicine balls, and more. As part of the Health and Wellness team, the HYROX Group Instructor is responsible for fostering and promoting an energetic, motivating, safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and promotes safety in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications; Child Abuse Prevention Training, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training required within 60 days of hired date
• 1+ years fitness and group exercise, or group training program experience preferred
• Must possess a current YMCA or NCAA-accredited Group Exercise Instructor or Certified Personal Trainer certification
• Must complete the HYROX Foundations Course to be a certified HYROX Group Instructor
