Job Title: Custodian

Reports To: Campus Supervisor of Plant Services

Job Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Ellsworth Community College, Iowa Falls, IA

Summary: The purpose of this position is to ensure the college campus remains clean and sanitary. This position is responsible for appropriate use and maintenance of plant services and other college machinery/equipment. A high level of customer service is expected in investigating, responding to and completing tasks related to all facilities on campus. This position works together with the custodial team to ensure all buildings and grounds meet standards for health and safety at all times.

Job Responsibilities:

Education and Experience: Completion of High School/GED

Abilities: Knowledge of required procedures for cleaning and maintaining flooring. Knowledge of and ability to safely use chemical products. Ability to use and repair machines and equipment. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Good customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a team.

Base Wage: $12.14-$16.19 per hour - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
