SUCCESS COMPETENCIES & FUNDAMENTALS
MAKE QUALITY PERSONAL: Demonstrate a passion for excellence and take pride in
the quality of everything you touch and everything you do. Have a healthy dislike for
mediocrity. Good is not good enough. Always ask yourself, “Is this my best work?”
PRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM-SOLVING: Demonstrate a relentless solution focus
rather than pointing ? ngers or dwelling on problems. Identify lessons learned and use
those lessons to improve processes so mistakes are not repeated. Get smarter with
every experience.
FIND A WAY: Take personal responsibility for making things happen. Respond to
every situation by looking for how we can do it, rather than explaining why it can’t be
done. Be resourceful and show initiative. See issues through to completion.
GET THE FACTS: Learn to ask questions and gather information before jumping to
conclusions. Be curious about additional information that might yield a more
complete picture and lead to better engineering decisions.
BE CURIOUS: Challenge and question what you don’t understand in the search for
the best solutions. Ask thoughtful questions and dig deeper to go beyond the
