About This Position

The Division of Pediatric Behavioral Health (PBH) at National Jewish Health (NJH) is seeking a full-time doctoral level (PhD/PsyD) pediatric psychologist to join our growing outpatient and integrated behavioral health programs. This position will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families with a wide range of mental health and complex medical conditions. This will include providing brief diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, health behavior assessment and interventions, and interdisciplinary consultation across outpatient and integrated medical care settings. Referrals are received from a mixture of internal NJH programs (e.g., Pediatric Severe Asthma Clinic, Exercise Induced Laryngeal Obstruction Clinic), as well as from primary care providers, partnering hospitals (e.g., HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s), and other community partners throughout the region.

The position is designed to expand access to behavioral health services, reduce wait times, and to support growing need for comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for pediatric patients at National Jewish Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Conduct diagnostic evaluations; develop individualized treatment plans; provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy; provide health behavior assessments & brief interventions; and maintain documentation.
  • Integrated Care: Provide brief consultation, assessment, and interventions within select integrated care clinics; participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning; educate providers, patients, and their families about the interplay between medical illness and behavioral health; and support treatment objectives of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Program Development: Participate in monthly department and division meetings; partner with other PBH providers in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and assist in training future clinicians.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or another related behavioral health field.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • Experience working with children & adolescents.
  • Experience working with children with chronic medical conditions (preferred)
  • Bilingual skills preferred

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $140,000 based on experience, skills, and comparison to others who are already in this role.
