Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt, 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
Hours: M-F, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Eastern Time

Position Summary
Aertssen is seeking an energetic Operations Planner to join our growing team. Reporting to the Back Office Manager, the Operations Planner is a new position for Aertssen Logistics USA and will serve as the central communication point between warehouse operations and the back office. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing daily operational activities to ensure that resources, equipment, personnel, and materials are available to meet organizational goals. This role analyzes forecasts, reviews customer priorities, prepares workforce and equipment planning, and drives communication across teams to maintain efficient operations. The Operations Planner actively manages actual progress against the plan and adjusts or escalates where needed.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly operational schedules across different customer OEMs, based on deep familiarity with customer expectations and KPIs.
  • Coordinate workforce and equipment planning based on workload forecasts, priorities, and operational constraints.
  • Order and schedule work tools or materials to ensure the timely execution of work orders.
  • Adjust plans proactively in response to delays, emergencies, or changing priorities.
  • Serve as the central communication point between warehouse operations and the back office.
  • Ensure work orders, tasks, and assignments are clearly defined and communicated.
  • Track progress and follow up with teams to ensure scheduled activities remain on track, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to planning processes and workflows.
  • Assist in standardizing procedures and improving resource allocation methods.
  • Collaborate with management to support long-term operational strategy and capacity planning.
All this is always carried out in accordance with our company's quality, environmental, and health policies.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience with warehouse operations coordination or planning roles.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel, planning tools, and ERP/warehouse management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and trends.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to ask questions, report concerns, and coordinate clearly with teammates across the organization.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines without shortcuts.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
