The Community Impact Data Specialist serves as a key analytical partner within the Data and Analytics department, exercising independent judgment to design, interpret, and translate complex data into strategic insights that guide organizational decision-making. This role applies advanced knowledge of data analysis, evaluation methodologies, and reporting frameworks to support community impact initiatives. The Specialist independently manages data preparation, develops analytical structures, ensures data integrity, and synthesizes findings into meaningful recommendations for leadership and program teams.

The Specialist independently manages data preparation, develops analytical structures, ensures data integrity, and synthesizes findings into meaningful recommendations for leadership and program teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently identify, evaluate, and integrate relevant internal and external data sources to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
- Design, restructure, and transform datasets using analytical best practices to ensure alignment with evaluation objectives and reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools that communicate trends, outcomes, and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
- Exercise discretion in validating data accuracy, interpreting findings, and resolving discrepancies to ensure contextual and technical integrity.
- Design and administer surveys and interview guides, develop coding tools, and analyze results.
- Establish and maintain functional data dictionaries and reporting standards that guide consistent organizational data use.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for program improvement and strategic planning.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for ad hoc analytical requests, determining appropriate methodology and level of analysis required.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure adherence to timelines and successful project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience applying analytical methodologies and exercising independent judgment in interpreting data.
- Experience designing dashboards and data visualizations that inform leadership decision-making.
- Experience working with enterprise data systems (EHR, CRM, or similar platforms).
- Experience contributing to evaluation, outcomes measurement, or performance management initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of non-profit services and programs.
- Possess persuasive, clear, and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of databases and networks..
- Environment: Home-based office
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Travel: Occasional (Must have reliable personal transportation, valid Texas Driver License and current Auto Insurance.
