People Operations Manager

Amenity Pool Services is looking for a People Operations Manager to join our growing team! Amenity Pool Services are the experts in pool cleaning, maintenance and repair, and remodeling for both residential and commercial clients nationwide. Our purpose is to inspire and create happier and healthier moments. As People Operations Manager for Amenity Pool Services, you will play a key role in supporting this mission by building strong relationships with leaders and employees while driving key people strategies that support business goals. This role is responsible for supporting frontline employees, including pool technicians, cleaners, and other operational staff, while partnering with leadership to implement HR strategies that enhance workforce performance, engagement, and retention. This role blends strategic HR guidance with hands-on support, ensuring our residential aquatics teams have the resources, coaching, and tools they need to thrive. The People Operations Manager will provide guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, and operational HR processes, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture in a physically active, frontline-focused environment.

This position reports into the Sr Director of Human Resources for The Amenity Collective. The Amenity Collective, parent company to Amenity Construction Group, is North Americas largest provider of aquatics, fitness, and recreation solutions,


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build trusted relationships with frontline employees, supervisors, and operational leaders across all residential aquatics locations.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for questions about policies, PTO, benefits, payroll, safety procedures, and HR programs.

  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution, and career development.Partner with leadership to address workforce challenges, including staffing, retention, and compliance with labor regulations.

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating hiring manager interviews, managing candidate communication, and facilitating a smooth offer and onboarding process.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience across all sites.

  • Manage applicant tracking processes, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and effective communication with candidates and leaders.

  • Conduct fair and confidential investigations of employee concerns or incidents, working to resolve issues promptly and consistently.

  • Maintain compliance with employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies relevant to frontline operations.

  • Facilitate change management initiatives to support employee engagement and retention

  • Manage HR systems and processes, including recordkeeping, applicant tracking, and reporting.

  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, improve processes, and recommend solutions to leadership.Support organizational initiatives, including policy updates, change management, and employee engagement programs.

  • Help foster cultural alignment across teams while respecting and preserving valued traditions and practices.

  • Stay ahead of employment laws and HR best practices, helping protect our people and organization while minimizing risk.

  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies that fuel long-term growth.

  • Champion a best-in-class onboarding experience that sets employees up for success; create a welcoming first impression, facilitate meaningful connections, ensure timely completion of documentation, and continuously enhance the process based on feedback.

  • Ensure onboarding programs introduce new hires to safety protocols, operational standards, and company culture.

  • Lead and manage the employee offboarding process, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and respectful transition; conduct exit interviews, gather insights, and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Identify and support learning, development, and engagement opportunities that help our people grow and thrive.

  • Champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, continuous feedback, and high performance.

  • Roll up your sleeves and jump into other HR projects and initiatives as needed were a team that gets things done together!


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of HR experience, including direct support to business leaders.

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred; HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with employees or attend meetings.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (e.g., moving files, setting up meeting rooms, etc.).

  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with employees and external partners.

  • May require occasional travel to company locations, events, or offsite meetings.

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, organizational development, and employment law.

  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable using HR data to drive insights and action.

  • Strategic thinking paired with a hands-on approach.

  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and professionalism.

  • Proactive problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

COMPENSATION

The People Operations Manager position with Amenity Pool Services offers a base salary of $70,000 - $75,000 per annum based upon experience. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.


LOCATION

This is a hybrid position based out of The Amenity Collectives office in Huntersville, NC. 3 days per week required in office.
