Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development - Mergers & Acquisitions in the United States.
This is a high-impact, market-facing leadership role responsible for driving inorganic growth through acquisitions and strategic partnerships within the healthcare sector. The position plays a central role in expanding a home health and hospice footprint across priority geographies, shaping where and how the organization grows over time. You will define market strategy, build and manage a proprietary deal pipeline, and cultivate long-term relationships with founders, operators, and investment intermediaries. Operating as the single point of accountability for M&A execution, you will guide opportunities from early sourcing through closing. The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, financial acumen, and hands-on deal execution. It is designed for a leader who thrives in relationship-driven environments and is comfortable operating across multi-year transaction cycles.
- Define and maintain a data-driven market expansion strategy, identifying and prioritizing high-value geographies for growth.
- Build, manage, and continuously refine a proprietary M&A pipeline aligned with strategic growth objectives.
- Conduct market intelligence and in-market engagement to identify acquisition targets and validate strategic fit.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with healthcare operators, owners, and investment bankers to generate proprietary deal flow.
- Manage intermediary relationships to position the organization as a preferred buyer in the market.
- Lead end-to-end deal execution, including structuring, LOI development, diligence coordination, and closing processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders throughout transactions to ensure alignment, risk identification, and informed decision-making.
- Serve as the primary external representative for M&A activities and act as the central point of accountability for deal success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, ideally within healthcare (home health and hospice experience preferred).
- Proven track record in deal sourcing, execution, and end-to-end M&A transaction management.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with external stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a highly external, relationship-driven, and market-facing role.
- Willingness to travel up to 1–2 weeks per month.
- Competitive salary range: $150,000 – $200,000 base compensation.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- 401(k) plan with 4% employer contribution plus pension benefits.
- 15 days of PTO plus paid holidays and a personal day.
- Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage.
- Flexible remote work arrangement with nationwide coverage.
- Tuition discount programs for continued education opportunities.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact healthcare M&A strategy in a growth-oriented environment.
