Position Description

Position Summary

NRE seeks an experienced, results-driven Procurement Consultant to join our team at New River Electrical Company. As a Procurement Consultant, you will assist the Purchasing Manager and various internal teams in managing the sourcing process, suppliers, and managing relationships to ensure a seamless supply chain and optimize costs. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, make strategic decisions and implement best practices within our growing procurement function. Duties/Responsibilities

1. Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic purchasing records and data documenting performance and compliance.
2. Execute the procurement of material, services, and production supplies including price, availability, delivery schedule (expediting), and final delivery of goods.
3. Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
4. Develop requests for quotes, establish pricing, delivery, terms, and conditions.
5. Continuously improve the supply chain to secure competitiveness using technologies, lean strategies, and implementation of best practices.
6. Apply total landed cost or total cost of ownership models in the procurement of material and equipment.
7. Manage supplier risk and develop mitigation plans.
8. Develop working relationships and synergies with strategic sourcing Specialist within NREC.
9. Support other projects and tasks assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications/Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of work experience required OR minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in buying, purchasing, or sourcing.
2. Supply chain, buying, or logistics certifications are a plus.
3. Proficiency with ERP systems including data creation and ERP execution as well as manufacturing-based sourcing and supply competence.
4. Experience within the electrical/construction industry is a plus but not required.
5. Effective inter-personal skills to engage and create trust at all levels of the organization.
6. High attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
7. Demonstrates excellent organization skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
