Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.Typical responsibilities include:

• Design various natural gas projects using using industry best practices to comply with local, state and federal standards.
• Coordinate preparation of permit submittals
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and a Bill Of Materials.
• Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
• Monitor task budget and progress
• Document design changes and communications with the client
• Administrative tasks as appropriate for the project (ex. Submit a design 811 ticket and follow up on responses)
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed
• Assist in survey tasks
• Develop field inventory of gas facilities
• Prepare project status and other reports
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Assist Project Managers as appropriate
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
• Attend seminars and/or training classes
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required

Skills/Experience:

• 0 - 6 years of related experience required
• A Pennsylvania PE license or completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
