Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.Typical responsibilities include:

Position Description:

- Design various natural gas projects using using industry best practices to comply with local, state and federal standards.
- Coordinate preparation of permit submittals
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and a Bill Of Materials.
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Document design changes and communications with the client
- Administrative tasks as appropriate for the project (ex. Submit a design 811 ticket and follow up on responses)
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Assist in survey tasks
- Develop field inventory of gas facilities
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals
- Assist Project Managers as appropriate
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
- 0 - 6 years of related experience required
- A Pennsylvania PE license or completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
