Durable Surfaces LLC is seeking a motivated Field Safety Specialist to support and strengthen our field safety program across active project sites. This role works closely with operations leadership and field teams to ensure safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all job sites.
This is a hands-on, field-focused role that requires regular travel to project sites and strong collaboration with field crews and supervisors. The Field Safety Specialist will conduct safety audits, support incident investigations, maintain safety documentation, and assist with compliance and training programs. The ideal candidate is pursuing or currently holds an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification and is looking to grow within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities- Field Safety Leadership
Conduct regular jobsite safety audits across active projects to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Work directly with field crews and foremen to reinforce safe work procedures and address safety concerns.
Provide clear reporting to leadership on jobsite safety performance, risks, and corrective actions.
Assist with incident response and investigations, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
- Compliance and Safety Systems
Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.
Ensure job sites maintain proper safety controls including PPE use, GFCIs, air monitoring, and equipment safety requirements.
Maintain safety documentation including JSAs, SDS records, training documentation, and safety program materials.
Support contractor compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, Avetta, and other third-party qualification systems.
Assist with DOT compliance and driver safety documentation.
Utilize systems such as Motive to monitor vehicle safety events, violations, and driver performance.
- Training and Continuous Improvement
Support development and delivery of trade-specific safety training programs.
Participate in safety committee meetings with field employees to identify improvement opportunities.
Assist leadership in improving and implementing the company safety program.
Help build a standardized digital safety system accessible company-wide.
- Workers Compensation and Return to Work
Assist with tracking workplace injuries, workers compensation claims, and return-to-work processes.
Coordinate with supervisors and leadership to ensure safe reintegration of employees following injury in accordance with medical restrictions.
- Collaboration and Operations Support
Work closely with the Director of Operations and field leadership to identify safety equipment needs and support purchasing requests.
Serve as a key communication bridge between field crews, leadership, and external safety partners.
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred or actively working toward certification.
24 years of field experience in construction safety, construction operations, or a related industry.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance standards.
OSHA 500 certification or equivalent preferred.
CPR and AED certification required or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with field crews, vendors, and management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
Comfortable utilizing digital safety and fleet systems such as Motive and contractor compliance platforms.
Familiarity with DOT compliance, driver safety, and vehicle safety standards preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to multiple job sites nationwide.
Valid drivers license required.
