Position Snapshot

The RN Administrator & Clinical Director is a highly visible, hands-on leader responsible for launching and growing hospice services in a new market. This hybrid executive role combines Administrator accountability with Clinical Director oversight, ensuring both operational excellence and exceptional patient care during start-up and early growth.

You will lead day-to-day hospice operations, build clinical and administrative infrastructure, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish the systems, teams, and community relationships needed to scale a successful hospice program. As the organization grows, you will serve as the connective tissue between strategy and execution; balancing leadership, clinical expertise, and operational discipline.

About You

You are a confident hospice leader who thrives in environments where building, shaping, and leading from the ground up is the work. You are comfortable wearing multiple hats and understand that meaningful growth requires both vision and hands-on execution.

Throughout your career, others have relied on you to navigate complex clinical, operational, and regulatory challenges while keeping patients, families, and staff at the center of every decision. You are energized by start-up environments, adaptable to change, and motivated by the opportunity to leave something better than you found it.

You lead with credibility, clarity, and compassion; and you know how to inspire teams, build trust with referral partners, and maintain compliance without losing sight of mission.

How You Will Make a Difference

Each day, you will make a direct impact by building a hospice program that delivers high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care while positioning the organization for long-term success.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the launch and operational build-out of hospice services in a new market
  • Establish workflows, staffing models, and operational systems that support sustainable census growth
  • Serve as the Administrator and Clinical Director, providing unified operational and clinical leadership
  • Direct and oversee all clinical services, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care delivery
  • Guide interdisciplinary team processes, including care planning, coordination, and outcomes monitoring
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and develop clinical and administrative staff during the start-up phase
  • Ensure full compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and applicable state hospice regulations
  • Lead Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts and maintain survey readiness
  • Monitor financial, productivity, and operational performance indicators to inform decision-making
  • Build and strengthen referral relationships and represent hospice services in the healthcare community
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, ethical practice, and continuous improvement

Why You’ll Love Working Here

This is more than a leadership role - it’s an opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.

You’ll join an organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality hospice care while investing deeply in the leaders who make that possible. In this role, your voice matters. Your expertise is trusted. And your impact is visible every day.

What we offer our leaders:

  • True ownership and influence - shape clinical practice, operations, and culture from the earliest stages
  • Mission-driven work - lead a program focused on dignity, compassion, and patient-centered care
  • Growth and development - expand your executive leadership skill set while scaling a new market
  • Autonomy with support - freedom to lead paired with engaged regional and governing leadership
  • Purposeful challenge - a dynamic start-up environment where your decisions directly impact outcomes
  • Respect for expertise - clinical judgment, regulatory knowledge, and ethical leadership are valued

If you are motivated by building teams, creating systems, and leaving a lasting legacy of care, this role offers a rare chance to do exactly that.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong foundation of hospice leadership, clinical expertise, and operational judgment.

Required & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current, unrestricted state licensure
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of hospice or home health leadership experience preferred
