About This Position
We are seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to join our team in the Longwood, Florida area. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires working onsite and offers the opportunity to lead impactful water resources and stormwater projects throughout the region. In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, and delivery of water resources initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and local agencies to support infrastructure improvements and environmental sustainability.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management, along with proven project management experience within a consulting or engineering environment. This position offers the chance to manage projects from concept through completion, mentor technical staff, and contribute to solutions that enhance water systems, protect communities, and support responsible development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience
- Strong and recent water resources project management experience
- Strong familiarity with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
- PE license and other certifications are highly preferred, but not required
Manage all phases of water resources projects, including planning, design, permitting, risk & resource management, construction oversight, and some stakeholder communication.
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and work plans; monitor and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Coordinate and mentor technical staff, providing guidance on hydrologic, hydraulic, and stormwater modeling.
Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and permit applications.
Conduct quality control and assurance on project deliverables to meet company and regulatory standards.
Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, presentations, and project pursuit activities.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal water resource regulations and environmental standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and planners
