The Quality Infection Control Coordinator is a vital role in preventing, monitoring, and managing infections across Union Health to ensure the safest possible environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

This role reports to the System Director.

  • Infection surveillance, prevention, and control
  • Data analysis and interpretation of infection trends
  • Collaboration with clinical departments on best practices

(Unit / Dept.) Successes and Designation

  • Strengthens patient safety through infection prevention and surveillance.
  • Partners with departments to reduce healthcare-associated infections and improve quality.
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the hospital.

(Unit / Dept.) Training & Onboarding Culture

  • Guided onboarding with support from Infection Prevention leadership.
  • Ongoing training in infection control practices and safety protocols.
  • Team-based culture focused on patient safety and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Infection surveillance, prevention, and control
    Data analysis and interpretation of infection trends
  • Collaboration with clinical departments on best practices
  • Education and guidance for staff, patients, and visitors

Qualifications:

  • Indiana RN license required
  • BSN required
  • Two years acute care nursing experience
  • Strong communication, computer, and education skills
