Job Summary

Performs general laboratory tasks, maintains inventory and equipment and orders supplies and parts, performs quality control testing, and assists other staff.


Essential Functions

This position's functions include: daily communication with lab contributors, process accession cases, generate billing sheets, send cases to histology (as needed), review accuracy of biopsy reports, maintain lab slide/block logs and lab temperature/humidity, maintain chemical log, order laboratory supplies, biohazard waste disposal, maintain microscope maintenance/compliance logs, other duties as required.


Physical Effort

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Position requires moderate physical effort. May be required to sitting or standing for an extended time.
