English Teacher at Christian Life School – Kenosha, Wisconsin

We are seeking a passionate and skilled full-time High School English Teacher to join our faculty in August 2026. This educator will teach advanced English and communication courses that prepare students for college-level expectations while helping students grow academically, personally, and, spiritually within our Christian, faith-based environment. The ideal candidate loves working with high school students, is passionate about literacy, communication, and critical thinking, enjoys helping high school students develop strong written and verbal skills, is committed to educational excellence, and embraces our Portrait of a Teacher and Five Mindsets of Charity, Growth, Positivity, Professionalism, and Team.

Responsibilities include
*Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging instruction aligned with course standards and college-level expectations
*Implement Gateway Technical College curriculum for Dual Enrollment courses
*Prepare students for success in AP exams and post-secondary coursework
*Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
*Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
*Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning
*Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues
*Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning and school initiatives
*Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development

Assignment Details
*26/27 school year
*Full-time
*Six class periods, two prep periods, plus lunch

Qualifications
*Must meet one of Gateway Technical College's educational requirements to teach *Dual Enrollment course requirements:
Masters Degree in the content area
Masters Degree in other content area with 18+ credits in English, Writing or Journalism
Master’s Degree in education or a related field, combined with the following tested experience: A DPI license in the specific subject area being taught; and Completion of the 30-hour AP Summer Institute; and A minimum of 5 years teaching the subject area at the high school level
*Ability to obtain and maintain an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teacher certification
*Strong content knowledge in composition, rhetoric, and literature
*Ability to meet Gateway Technical College instructor qualifications for Dual Enrollment courses
*Ability to integrate technology into instruction
*Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
*State teaching licenses preferred, but not required
