Sigma Design has collaborated with an electronic components manufacturer seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join their facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. This company designs and manufactures precision components that power advanced applications in aerospace, telecommunications, and medical technology.
What Is Offered:

Primary Function:
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of high-priority, complex engineering projects, including new product introduction, advanced development initiatives, and key customer-driven programs.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Own all aspects of project management for assigned engineering projects from initiation through completion
- Drive day-to-day execution by coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and other stakeholders
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering leadership and stakeholders
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including task sequencing, dependencies, and resource planning
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
- Lead project meetings, track action items, and maintain clear documentation of progress and decisions
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadership to support informed decision-making
- Support continuous improvement of project management processes and deliverable release workflows
- Manage project data, schedules, and reporting within internal project tracking systems
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading technical or engineering-related projects
- Experience working on physical product development (e.g., hardware, manufacturing, or electromechanical products)
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects involving engineering and production teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with project tracking tools and structured development processes required
- Compliance (background check, ITAR, vaccine, etc.)
- ITAR - Permanent resident of the United States (“U.S. person” as defined by ITAR)
- Background - Pass a post-offer background verification.
- Background and drug screen - pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen.
Work Environment
Engineering: Standard office environment with normal amounts of office-related conditions. Regular interaction with engineering and production teams may require time spent on the manufacturing floor. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
