Job Summary

At Blue Sky, we recognize the need for great Sales Associates to provide excellent customer service. To our customers, our Sales Associates are often the face of the company. The ideal candidate must be able to provide excellent customer service, be detail-oriented, have experience with cash handling, and be able to multi-task. This position is the step to becoming an Assistant Manager.

Essential Responsibilities

• Greets all customers “Welcome to My Blue Sky”
• Engages the customer in a friendly manner and assists in locating products throughout the store
• Operate a cash register and accurately manage cash
• Maintain awareness of all items on monthly promotion, and practice suggestive selling
• Stock and front product on shelves to provide excellent product appearance
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms and the parking lot through regular monitoring
• Assists customers in BBQ/ Deli stores by properly serving food items in a food safe method
• Stocks cooler as sales demand or as directed by the Manager
• Maintains cleanliness of food service areas regularly with proper sanitized cleaning methods
• Demonstrate an adaptable and flexible work style, shifting tasks as priorities and circumstances change
• Understands and follows through on Store Manager directives
• Immediately notifies the Manager of safety issues and other store concerns
• Must manage own time to perform job functions, with customer service as the top priority. During slow times, constantly leaves the register area to monitor and maintain store cleanliness.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum High School education is required
• Must be outgoing and friendly to our guests, greeting them on entrance into the store
• Must be helpful to meet customer needs
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Willing to learn and take on added responsibilities
• Can take direction from the Store Manager and execute appropriately
• Open availability is preferred
