The Role

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Powder-Blender to join our part-time production team.

The Powder Blender will safely blend powders and use the equipment involved in the production of those powders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates production machinery following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. These machines can include benders, grinders, sifters, and more.
  • Produces the required quantity of product within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measures finished product with precision tools, ensuring compliance with quality and production specifications.
  • Maintains logs and records of units produced, including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded products.
  • Inspects equipment before use to ensure proper setup; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Operates, maintains, cleans, and troubleshoots to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Escalates problems with formulas or machinery.
  • Performs quality checks on the product at designated intervals.
  • Maintains good manufacturing practices.
  • Packages finished products for storage, shipment, or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials or operating machinery.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team and alone.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical skills and good communication
  • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of on-the-job training.
  • Familiarity with GMP and blender/mixer operation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
  • Prolonged periods of working while standing, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products produced.
