About the Opportunity:

Big Sky Specialty Compounding is looking for a dedicated, detail-loving, safety-driven Staff Pharmacist for our non-sterile compounding operations in Kalispell, Montana.

What You’ll Do

As a staff pharmacist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a top-tier compounding operation. You will:

  • Oversee technicians and participate in preparing high-quality non-sterile compounded medications.
  • Adhere strictly to USP <795> and USP <800> standards.
  • Monitor QA programs, training, documentation, audits, and equipment upkeep.
  • Maintain strong safety protocols, including PPE use and hazardous drug handling.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
  • Support technicians and staff for optimal workflow and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with clinicians, providers, and patients to support exceptional medication therapy outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot, innovate, and think creatively to deliver outstanding compounding solutions.
  • Bring adaptability, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude to daily operations.


What You Bring:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Active (or eligible) Montana pharmacist license.
  • Experience in non-sterile compounding, including hazardous drug handling.
  • Strong working knowledge of USP <795> and <800>.
  • Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills.
  • A self-driven mindset, Montana-style work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Multitasking abilities

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in compounding or specialty pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with PK compounding software and QA systems.
