BEE ACCESS – FINANCE MANAGER

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Team as a Finance Manager, leading all accounting and key financial activities for this Manufacturing and Distribution company. This is an exciting growth role for the right candidate. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working directly with our VP of Finance, parent company Controller, CEO and leadership team. We are looking for a smart, inquisitive mind with experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and planning to help propel Bee Access forward in our next level of growth. This is not your average Accounting position but rather a unique opportunity to not only be part of an evolving and expanding Bee Access but also to contribute to other Canopy Brands companies as it continues to acquire additional assets.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Support the overall growth strategy and development through proper accounting of financial and business transactions.
• Provide analytical, evaluative and advisory support to improve decision-making.
• Manage day-to-day activities including general ledger entries and general cost accounting.
• Lead the month-end close process.
• Prepare monthly financial statements; investigate and communicate variances.
• Help manage or oversee other processes including recording vendor invoices, AP and AR.
• Generate data-related reports and assist with our budgeting process.
• Coordinate and provide the necessary information with outside auditors.
• Qualify and set up new customer accounts.
• Perform light HR-related duties as needed, including bi-weekly payroll.
• Assess and document internal controls, streamline our accounting procedures and make recommended changes as necessary.
• Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization, while fostering the mission, vision, and values of the business.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong problem solving, analytical thinking and understanding of business impact
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable interacting directly and professionally with vendors, operations, sales, and other team members.
• Highly ethical, positive cultural addition, self-motivated.
