- Advising on IMS vendor evaluations by validating integration capabilities and API robustness.
- Collaborating with data engineering teams to build scalable pipelines for structured metadata and unstructured image assets.
- Defining technical standards for data interoperability, ensuring semantic consistency across pathology reports and clinical data streams.
- Implementing secure, compliant data exchanges aligned with HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP regulations.
- Supporting AI and bioinformatics teams by integrating inference pipelines into clinical workflows.
- Leading root cause analysis for integration issues to maintain high availability of critical diagnostic systems.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in software architecture, systems integration, and digital pathology solutions, including:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or equivalent work experience; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of software architecture and systems integration experience in regulated healthcare or life sciences environments.
- Expertise in Digital Pathology, Radiology (PACS/RIS), or high-content imaging systems.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Logic Apps, API Management, Functions) and modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
- Proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into clinical production workflows, ideally in oncology or genomics.
- Strong skills in API design (REST, GraphQL), message queuing, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in .NET, C#, Blazor, and SQL, with experience operating across Azure and AWS environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
