Junior Project Manager - Mechanical

Junior Mechanical Project Manager Coordinate High-Impact Commercial & Federal Builds

  • Location: Pinellas Park, FL.

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday Friday.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital link between the office and the field, supporting the full lifecycle of mechanical projects from startup to closeout. This role is designed for a developing professional with a "field-first" mindset who is ready to transition into high-level project leadership. At Feddon Mechanical, you aren't just a number; you are a key collaborator working directly with company leadership to ensure our projects remain organized, compliant, and profitable.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Manage critical project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders.

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and track real-time material deliveries.

  • Support project scheduling by monitoring manpower needs, subcontractor timing, and key milestones.

  • Review technical drawings and specifications to identify potential design conflicts before they reach the field.

  • Assist with job cost tracking and budget monitoring to ensure projects meet financial expectations.

  • Facilitate clear communication between field leaders, general contractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain comprehensive project logs and correspondence to ensure historical accuracy and transparency.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 4+ years of field experience in mechanical or commercial construction.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple tasks under strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in project support, estimating, or mechanical coordination.

  • Direct experience using Procore or similar construction project management software.

  • Additional trade school certification or college-level coursework in construction management.

  • Basic knowledge of commercial plumbing and mechanical systems and code requirements.
