About This Position
HighFive Healthcare is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and coordinate complex technology initiatives across our growing network of healthcare practices. This role will manage cross-functional projects involving IT infrastructure, software systems, integrations, and operational technology across multiple clinical locations.
The Technical Project Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and managed service providers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. This position requires strong project management skills combined with a solid understanding of technical systems and enterprise IT environments.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead planning and execution of technical projects including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, hardware equipment replacements, integrations and facility builds or renovations.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across corporate and clinical environments.
- Maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, and documentation.
Technical Coordination
- Work with IT engineers, vendors, and MSP partners to coordinate implementation activities.
- Oversee integration projects between practice management systems, imaging platforms, payment systems, and enterprise applications.
- Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Provide regular status updates.
- Facilitate meetings, project reviews, and post-implementation retrospectives.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, software providers, and managed service providers to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Track vendor performance, timelines, and contractual obligations.
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early in the project lifecycle.
- Develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues when needed.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to the development of IT project governance and standardized project management processes.
- Assist in implementing project management tools, dashboards, and reporting structures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience managing technical or IT projects
- Experience coordinating projects involving infrastructure, software systems, or enterprise applications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or dental technology environments
- Familiarity with practice management systems, imaging systems, or healthcare integrations
- Experience working with Microsoft 365, Azure, or enterprise cloud environments
- Knowledge of API integrations, data migration, and system implementations
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or equivalent)
- Experience coordinating with managed service providers (MSPs)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
