About This Position
Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Vice President of Finance who can turn bold industrial ambition into executable capital strategy. This leader will own the financial framework behind scaling breakthrough critical metals production, helping finance the facilities, infrastructure, and growth required to build the future of domestic rare earth and critical metals supply. You will be central to how Phoenix deploys capital, evaluates major investments, and secures the project financing needed to bring new production online.
- Lead company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation to support scale-up of commercial production and new facility development
- Build and own project finance strategy for major capital projects, including financing structures, lender engagement, diligence processes, and execution through close
- Develop robust financial models tied to plant economics, capex deployment, operating performance, commodity assumptions, and return thresholds
- Partner with leadership on corporate fundraising strategy, supporting equity, debt, strategic investment, and non-dilutive capital efforts
- Drive financial evaluation of new projects, expansions, and infrastructure investments to determine feasibility, risk, and value creation
- Establish and scale finance processes across FP&A, treasury, cash management, and reporting to support a rapidly growing, capital-intensive business
- Lead banking, financing, and financial diligence workstreams related to major transactions, capital raises, and strategic initiatives
- Deliver clear decision support to the executive team on liquidity, financing strategy, project deployment timing, and capital priorities
- Extensive finance leadership experience in capital-intensive industries such as manufacturing, industrials, energy, mining, chemicals, infrastructure, or project development
- Deep experience with project financing, including structuring, diligence, negotiation, and execution for large-scale facilities or infrastructure assets
- Strong command of project economics, corporate finance, financial modeling, treasury, and capital planning
- Demonstrated success supporting or leading capital raises involving debt, equity, strategic investors, or non-dilutive funding sources
- Experience building finance systems and operating rhythms that support fast growth and increasingly complex operations
- Strong ability to assess investment opportunities and translate technical, operational, and commercial inputs into clear financial decisions
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on finance leader in a high-growth environment where speed, rigor, and adaptability matter
This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range: $250,000- $350,000 total cash compensation plus equity
