About This Opportunity

Job Source USA is seeking a Packaging Specialist to support shipping and inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Shipping Manager and plays a key part in ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to read and follow work orders and documentation while maintaining quality, accuracy, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Move materials to staging areas or inventory
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections
• Monitor paperwork and inventory tags during packaging
• Use counting scales for packaging accuracy
• Verify part numbers, counts, and labels
• Measure and count products to ensure proper packaging
• Prepare shipments to customers and stock (inspection, tagging, labeling, assembly, cleaning)
• Complete shop forms, job tracking cards, and work orders
• Maintain inventory accuracy and transaction records
• Monitor boxes, pallets, and shipping supplies
• Keep work area clean and organized

Equipment, Tools, or Systems Used

• Forklifts and material handling equipment
• Counting scales
• Tape measure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Drug Screen
• Background Check
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to read and follow work orders and documentation
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Commitment to quality and accuracy
• Ability to work with minimal errors
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs
• Ability to push/pull carts up to 100 lbs
• Ability to move frequently between facility areas
• Ability to make sound judgments
• Ability to interpret orders, forms, and documents accurately
• Ability to take appropriate action when needed

Work Environment and Dress Code

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Not air-conditioned
• PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection in designated areas)
