About This Position
Role Description
As the Senior Accounting Associate, you will own the Company’s financial reporting and analysis functions, including interfacing with our external accounting team to close monthly financials, reconcile inventory, ensure timely tax compliance, and A/P and A/R management. This is an excellent opportunity for a change of pace from a traditional accounting role with significant team interaction, creative implementation, and optimizing purpose-driven processes. You will be vital in driving key processes to set the company up for growth and scale.

Drive the production of timely financial statements, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Lead the team in the month end close and financial reporting process, overseeing daily accounting operations
Support financial audit process, including preparing financial analyses and schedules necessary for audit, and coordinating audit requests with team members
Manage government grant financial reporting
Support Via’s purchasing processes, including invoice payment and expense reconciliation.
Oversee invoicing and the accounts receivable operations.
Support the optimization of existing financial platforms and migration(s) to other new platforms.
Collaborate across the team to draft organizational budgets, ensuring that organizational strategic priorities are properly funded.
Drive and optimize Via’s purchasing processes, including invoice payment and expense reconciliation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally for manufacturing and/or services companies. CPA or public accounting experience is highly preferred.
Experience using Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, and Expensify preferred but not required

You love working on complex interdisciplinary projects with teams and deep diving into detailed financials and transactions. You’re able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
