About This Position
We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. In this role, you will be supporting and maintaining network and systems infrastructure, including configuring servers, switches, and network environments, while troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues—playing a key part in ensuring reliable, mission-critical system operations.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in network and systems engineering, including working with Red Hat, Windows, and Windows Server environments, as well as a strong foundation in network configuration and infrastructure support. This is a full-time position based in Manassas, Virginia. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The annual base salary is $84,000 to $115,000, with final compensation based on experience and skills. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and capabilities.

Requirements:You’ll be responsible for:
- Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization’s systems and network infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware, software, and networking components.
- Analyzes, configures, modifies, tests, and maintains networked systems and environments.
- Installs, upgrades, and maintains servers, switches, workstations, cables, and other networking equipment.
- Configures network interfaces for local servers and workstations to ensure proper connectivity.
- Maintains network diagrams and system-related installation and configuration documentation.
- Assists with identifying hardware for new or existing network environments.
- Supports troubleshooting of user-related or system performance issues.
- Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
- Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function
Required Skills:
- Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field; or a minimum of 6 years of equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2–4 years of experience in systems engineering, network engineering, or integration.
- Experience with Red Hat, Windows, and Windows Server operating environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of network design, configuration, and maintenance principles.
- Ability to contribute to technical documentation, including network diagrams and system configurations.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues across networked systems.
